ALGCC Board 10/26/21 Statement about the Proposed Concrete Batch Plant

The Alto Lakes Golf and Country Club (ALGCC) Board of Directors has issued the following statement regarding the proposed batch plant on Highway 220:

I would like to reach out and visit with you about the concrete batch plant that is proposed to be built adjacent to our community. The Board of Directors of Alto Lakes Golf and Country Club discussed at length this issue. The Directors have decided to remain neutral, meaning to neither support nor oppose the proposed plant. The Club has provided meeting space for community gatherings to voice opposition for this proposed project. All of this in where club staff and resources were used. ALGCC has provided the Pavilion on three different occasions and smaller meeting space several additional times at no cost to the group. The ALGCC BOD feels that for the Club to publicly endorse or oppose any issues related to land usage outside of the boundaries of the Alto Lakes community or to provide financial support to oppose or support issues, should be only considered if a vote before the entire membership dictates the Club’s involvement. This is not a one-sided issue. We do have members who are in support of the batch plant at the proposed location.
